The District will be conducting routine flushing of the water distribution system beginning at 9:30 am on 22 September 2026 through 23 September 2026 at 3:00 pm. This maintenance activity helps remove naturally occurring sediment from water lines, maintain water quality, and verify the proper operation of the water system and fire hydrants.
During flushing activities, customers may experience:
- Temporary water discoloration
- Brief reductions in water pressure
- Cloudy or rusty-colored water due to disturbed sediment in the water mains
The discoloration is generally not harmful and does not represent a health hazard. However, customers are encouraged to check that the water is clear before washing clothes or using water for other sensitive household purposes, as staining may occur.
If you experience discolored water, run cold water from your faucets for approximately 5 to 10 minutes, or until the water clears. Customers may also wish to avoid doing laundry during flushing operations.
The District appreciates your patience and cooperation as we perform this important maintenance to help ensure the continued reliability and quality of your water service.
